Teeth whitening in Antalya
A factual guide. We do not rank clinics for whitening, because almost none publish enough about it to compare.

In a clinic it usually takes one appointment of one to two hours. For most UK patients it makes sense in Antalya only as part of a wider treatment plan, done before crowns or veneers are matched.
Two ways to whiten
The NHS describes two professional methods:
- In the clinic: a whitening gel is painted on, the gums are protected, and a light is used to speed it up. It is usually done in one appointment of about one to two hours.
- At home with trays: the dentist makes trays that fit your teeth and gives you a gel to wear for around two to six weeks.
On a short trip, the in-clinic method is the practical one. Some clinics also give you trays to take home for top-ups.
What whitening cannot do
Whitening works on natural enamel. It does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, bridges, fillings or implant teeth. This matters if you are planning other work: if you want whiter teeth overall, whiten first, then have new crowns or veneers made to match the whiter shade. See why whitening comes first.
Side effects
The NHS lists teeth that are sensitive to cold or sweet food and drink, sore gums or throat, and white patches on the gums. These usually settle within days. The NHS also says whitening is not done for people aged 17 or under, or for people with unhealthy teeth or gums, and is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Is it worth doing in Antalya?
On its own, rarely. A single appointment is a small part of the cost of a trip. It becomes worthwhile when:
- you are already travelling for implants, crowns or veneers;
- a dentist has checked your gums and any old fillings first;
- the whitening is timed before your crowns or veneers are colour-matched.
What Antalya clinics publish about whitening
Of the 15 clinics on this site, Precious Dental is the only one whose guarantee page gives a whitening period: one year, under its published terms. We did not find enough public information from other clinics to rank them for whitening, so we have not.
Whitening in the UK
The NHS warns that whitening at beauty salons, or with kits bought online, may not work as well and may harm your teeth and gums. In the UK, only registered dental professionals may carry out whitening; you can check a professional on the General Dental Council register.
Common questions
Is teeth whitening in Antalya worth the trip on its own?
Usually not. One whitening appointment rarely saves enough to cover flights and a hotel. It makes more sense when you are already having crowns, veneers or implants.
Will whitening change my crowns or veneers?
No. The NHS notes that whitening only lightens natural teeth. Crowns, veneers and implants keep the colour they were made in.
How long does whitening last?
According to the NHS, the effect may last around three years if you follow your dentist's advice. Coffee, tea, red wine and smoking shorten it.
Does whitening hurt?
It can make teeth sensitive to cold or sweet things for a short time, and can make gums sore. A dentist should protect your gums during treatment.
